Last Tuesday (08-04-2025), the collection of the prison Wortel library was enriched with about forty chess books, suitable for all levels and aspects of the game, donated by Chess Circle Old God Mortsel.

On Wednesday, April 23 at 13:00, a symbolic chess match will take place to mark the opening of a unique cross-border chess table in the garden of the Cultural Centre Baarle, located at Pastoor de Katerstraat 7, 2387 Baarle-Hertog. The chessboard is positioned precisely on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands.
