The Hainaut Chess Club in partnership with the Cercle d'Echecs La Tour Saint-Ghislain and with the support of the FEFB is pleased to organize this FIDE tournament in 9 rounds, cadence: 90 min. with increments of 30 sec./move from the 1st move.

Remember we announced the initiative in Baarle-Nassau / Baarle-Hertog earlier this month? Today, Baarle unveiled the chess table that is literally on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. Here are some pictures of the event.

On Whit Monday, June 9, grandmaster Daniel Dardha will undertake an ambitious attempt to break the world record for clock simultaneous chess. That record currently stands in the name of Dutchman Sipke Ernst, set on Nov. 19, 2022 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
