How can I register to be an official chess player in order to participate in a tournament ?

Registration isn’t handled directly by the Royal Belgian Chess Federation (RBCF). You need to join an official Belgian club. This club will create your membership id. Find you nearest club in the club map.

How can I receive a FIDE ID ?

If you don’t have a FIDE ID yet (you can check this yourself on the FIDE website) and you want to participate to a tournament

• In Belgium and you are Belgian and you are member of a belgian club: you have nothing to do, your FIDE ID creation is done automatically.
• In Belgium and your are not Belgian but your are affiliated to a belgian club: you have to choose the country you want to play for (Belgium or your country of birth)
• Overseas and you are belgian and affiliated to a belgian club: send an email to fide@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be
• Overseas and your are not belgian but affiliated to a belgian club: send an email to fide@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be
• Overseas and you are belgian but not affiliated to a belgian club: or you take an affiliation to a belgian club and follow the procedure here above, or the tournament organisator will provide you an affiliation in his club and a FIDE id (pay attention that he has to ask you for wich country you want to play !)

How can i change my federation ?

For example, you have “France” as FIDE flag and want to be transfered on “Belgium” flag.
There are fees to pay, depends on your elo.
