We can finally announce the big news!

The battleground for the 2027 Belgian Chess Championship has been revealed. We will be descending upon the iconic Achter de Kazerne stadium, better known as the fiery home of KV Mechelen!

This unique championship is the ultimate gift to ourselves and to all chess enthusiasts to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Mechelen Chess Club.

We wanted to optimally strengthen the connection between chess and sport. And where better to do that than in the stadium of the sporting figurehead of Mechelen and the surrounding area?

We hope to welcome many of you in 2027 to share this unique experience with us!

Mvg,
Sten
