Detail: Olympiad / European Team Championships

The budget depends on the average ELO (month of the tournament) of the dispatched team, including reserves. The amount per player is calculated using the formula:

Base x Coefficient (A) + Bonus (b)

1. Base Amount (based on Team Average ELO):

  • < 2200: € 25
  • ≥ 2200 and < 2300: € 50
  • ≥ 2300 and < 2400: € 75
  • ≥ 2400 and < 2500: € 100
  • ≥ 2500 and < 2600: € 200

2. Coefficient A (based on tournament category):

  • Men/Women: 10
  • Veterans: 4

3. Bonus (b):

Any player whose individual ELO is more than 150 points above the team average receives a bonus (b) of € 100 x A.

Two separate series of sessions are organized, taught by trainers with a rating above 2300 ELO.

  • Sessions: One Dutch-speaking series and one French-speaking series.
  • Budget: A fixed budget of € 1 500 per series for a total of 15 online lessons (1 hour each).
  • Recording: All lessons are recorded and subsequently made available to the RBCF.
  • Target Audience: Affiliated members with a rating above 2000 ELO.

    • Has participated at least once in an official Belgian Championship (Youth, Experts, Women, or Open).

The RBCF reserves the right to refuse support to players who have been suspended by another chess federation in the past five years.

Player Obligations

The player grants the RBCF permission to use their name and likeness for promotional purposes.

Payment method

The amount is paid out once the player/trainer has actually participated or delivered the service.
