The 2023-2024 season is slowly drawing to a close. Several summer tournaments are underway, some are about to start and others have finished.
But it’s already time for club leaders to start thinking about the coming season: how many teams to enter in the interclubs, how to recruit new players, how to develop the club, etc…
To help clubs promote their tournaments, manage their club or non-profit organisation, and simply to make it easier to find out what’s going on in the Belgian chess world, the Board has come up with a new website.
It is intended to evolve according to the contributions made by all interested parties.
We are also working to meet the other expectations highlighted in our major survey.
The season ended with an all-time record number of members (6292 at June 1), which was achieved thanks to the daily work of the clubs.
Our greatest hope is that this record will be broken again on 1 June 2025!
To achieve this, we need every player to spread the word and encourage as many people as possible to visit one of the clubs we have listed on a map.
