2025 World Junior Rapid and Blitz Championship

The organizers, FIDE and the Peruvian Chess Sports Federation, cordially invite all FIDE member federations to participate in the 2025 FIDE World Junior U-20 Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship, to be held from September 22 (arrival) to September 29 (departure) in Lima, Peru.

Key Details:

• Dates: September 22-29, 2025.
• Venue: Sheraton Lima Historic Center Hotel
• Categories: Open and Women’s, in Rapid (15+10) and Blitz (3+2) chess formats.

Competition and Prizes:

• A total prize pool of €10,000, distributed in trophies, medals, and cash prizes for the top five finishers in each category.
• Digital certificates for all participants.

Registration and Fees:

• Registration fee: $120 USD per player/companion (includes airport-hotel transportation, accreditation, and organization fees).
• Rapid Mode: $40
• Blitz Mode: $40
• Deadline: August 20, 2025. Late registrations are subject to availability and incur a $120 USD penalty.

Accommodations and Benefits:

• Official Hotel: Sheraton Lima with preferential rates:
• Double room: $120 USD/night per person (full board).
• Single room: $140 USD/night.

Additional Information:

• Visa: Apply by August 20th. Attach a copy of your passport (valid for 6+ months).
• Transportation: Free service on September 22nd and 29th. For other dates, the cost is $60 USD (roundtrip).
