Chess Tournament in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan! DL 14.05

In attachment you can see the regulations for a rapid and blitz tournament in Ashgabat in Turkmenistan from 15/06/2025 to 19/06/2025. The interesting thing about this is that 6 players, 1 coach and 1 representative will be provided with free full board and accommodation, transfer from/to the airport and registration fee. (So only the flight costs must be paid by yourselves.)

Unfortunately, the time to respond is very short: the Belgian Chess Federation must report by 15/05/2025 at the latest whether and if so, who will participate. The administration for copies of the ID card must also be completed by then, so that the organization still has time to arrange the visas. The flight details may be provided later. The organization in Turkmenistan has also promised to help us find cheap flights if necessary.

If necessary, the free accommodations will be distributed according to following criteria:

Deadline of reaction is Wednesday May 14^th 2025 20h.

Per category (Sexe / Age Group)

• According to the standings on the last Belgian Youth Championship for the 1^st-2^nd-3^rd place for the player who didn’t exhaust already the right for free accommodation (and the place is decisive).
• According to the used elo in the last Belgian Youth Championship
• According to the highest elo (national/fide) of February 2025 for those who didn’t participate in the Belgian Youth Championship
• According to the date-time of the reaction

When there is no participant in a category, the following criterium will be used:

• Overall, according to the date-time of the reaction

So, in this way the maximum of six players can receive free accommodation in an honest way.
