Alle begrip dat pas na de volgende BO-vergadering een officieel standpunt wordt bekendgemaakt. Maar ondertussen kan toch gewoon meegedeeld worden hoe de vertegenwoordiger van de KBSB heeft gestemd tijdens de AV van de FIDE, voor of tegen het opnieuw toelaten van teams uit Rusland en Wit-Rusland aan FIDE landentoernooien?

Bedankt voor de update.
Ik lees in het verslag wel niet hoe de afgevaardigde van de KBSB heeft gestemd.
Ondertussen is een beroep aangetekend tegen de beslissing van de FIDE bij het CAS. https://schaaksite.nl/2026/01/07/klacht-over-fide-besluit-rusland-en-wit-rusland/
De appellanten verwelkomen de steun van mede-federaties en de bredere internationale schaakgemeenschap. Andere FIDE-lidfederaties die niet deelnemen als mede-appellanten worden aangemoedigd hun steun te betuigen via schriftelijke verklaringen, die kunnen worden ingediend en verwezen tijdens de CAS-procedure.
Gaat de KBSB dit beroep steunen?

De verklaring in het verslag is wat er vanuit het bestuur gedeeld wordt. Ik meen dat dit ruimschoots volstaat om ons standpunt in dit dossier te duiden.

Ik kan alleen maar concluderen dat het bestuur weigert mee te delen of er voor of tegen de opheffing van de sancties tegen Rusland en Wit-Rusland is gestemd. Ik vind dat problematisch. Wat willen jullie verzwijgen?

17.12.2025 - 20:40Graag verneem ik hoe er door de KBSB werd gestemd over het agendapunt om de nationale teams van Rusland en Belarus weer toe te laten tot FIDE landentoernooien. De stemming over dit agendapunt verliep bovendien in het geheim, wat in strijd is met het FIDE charter (art. 17.15). Een aanvullend agendapunt over dit onderwerp werd laattijdig ingediend door de FIDE Council (art. 17.10). Sluit de KBSB zich aan bij de onderstaande verklaring van de KNSB, of bij de onderstaande verklaring van de ECF (English Chess Federation)?

De Koninklijke Nederlandse Schaakbond (KNSB) betreurt het besluit van de FIDE om de nationale teams van Rusland en Belarus weer toe te laten tot de FIDE landentoernooien, waaronder de Olympiade. Deze beslissing is in strijd met de door het IOC opgelegde sancties tegen Rusland en Belarus vanwege de oorlog die Rusland in 2022 is begonnen tegen Oekraïne. Die sancties zijn nog steeds van kracht. De KNSB vindt dat deze sancties gehandhaafd moeten worden, uit solidariteit met Oekraïne en Oekraïense schakers.
The ECF condemns the conduct of the FIDE Congress staged online last Sunday. There were multiple abuses of process, not least, conducting the vote on Russian teams in secret was unconstitutional and in contravention of the FIDE Charter. The FIDE President, Arkady Dvorkovich, a former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, who chaired the meeting, effectively acted as a tool of the Russian state. Mr Dvorkovich refused to allow a debate or a vote on the motion proposed by the ECF.
The ECF notes:
Neither motion in favour of restoring Russian teams to FIDE competitions received a majority of the 141 delegates registered to vote at the meeting.
The two motions voted on were contradictory.
Both motions contradicted IOC policy as reiterated by the IOC as recently as last Thursday at the link below.
FIDE stands with only five other sports federations out of 108 in easing sanctions on Russian teams.
The ECF reaffirms:
The ECF will not host FIDE events with Russian teams until the IOC changes its policy.
As per IOC recommendations, Russian players will continue not to be allowed to compete under the Russian flag at ECF events.
