Garry Kasparov and Belgian Youth Meet at Your Next Move 2025 in Antwerp

Last week, Your Next Move hosted another edition of their historic gatherings. This time, a two-part chess event combining youth participation with a grandmaster exhibition. The activities took place at two iconic venues: Zoo Antwerp and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA).

On October 18, young players from across Belgium gathered at Zoo Antwerp for a children’s tournament. Participants were competing for a special prize — the chance to face Garry Kasparov next week.

The highlight followed on October 21, when former world champion Garry Kasparov played a simultaneous exhibition at the KMSKA. Surrounded by the museum’s art collections, Kasparov faced multiple opponents in a calm and focused setting. The event drew chess enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors alike.
