CHESS & STRATEGY GAMES IN THE CLASSROOM – MASTERCLAS BY JOHN FOLEY & BRIGITTA PESZLEG
SATURDAY – 8/11/2025 – BRUSSELS
PLAY – LEARN – TEACH
Let’s explore what the chessboard offers for education. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and playfulness.
Join us in Bruxelles for a day of ideas, inspiration and practical tools for the classroom to enrich your teaching practice and engage students in new ways. No prior chess experience is needed. If you care about helping children learn and grow and love to teach through play, this Saturday MasterClass is for you.
About the Event:
The MasterClass is based on the ECU107 – Chess and Strategy Games in the Classroom training course and presents a variety of strategy games and puzzles that can be played on a chessboard. It also highlights their educational benefits for children and explains the teaching methods used to incorporate them in the classroom. The interactive MasterClass is led by members of the Education Commission of the European Chess Union and provides hands-on tools that educators can use immediately.
