At the Royal Belgian Chess Federation (RBCF), we believe in an open and inclusive approach to shaping the future of chess in Belgium. That is why we are setting up four working groups to develop concrete proposals for the next general assembly. We invite you and your club members to participate and contribute directly to these important discussions:

  • Statutes and internal rules – Review and refine our legal and operational framework.
  • Chess Support – Explore ways to better support clubs, players and tournament organizers.
  • Membership – Evaluate and improve the RBCF membership structure and benefits.
  • Interclub – Discuss the current rules, dates, number of rounds, number of divisions, programs used, financial aspects (entry fees, fines, prizes, …), arbiters, …

The aim is for administrators, club managers, players and tournament organisers to work together to improve Belgian chess life and propose changes at the next general meeting in November.

If you are interested in collaborating, please read the documents of the working group you are interested in beforehand.

We expect candidates to come with an open mind, with a willingness to work for the common good and not to be partisan. The Board reserves the right to refuse a candidate.

Send your application to the dedicated person before the 16th february.
