Chess on the border – the pictures!

Remember we announced the initiative in Baarle-Nassau / Baarle-Hertog earlier this month? Today, Baarle unveiled the chess table that is literally on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. Here are some pictures of the event.

The official opening was performed by the mayors of Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau, followed by a symbolic chess match between two titleholders: WGM Anne Haast (female grandmaster, NL) and FM Ruben Akhayan (FIDE master, BE).
