Error message when affiliating new players or sending SWAR results

Update 23.11.2025: Due to changes in the email configuration, changes are needed to our codebase to solve this issue. We expect to have a solution by the time of the General Assembly (06.12.20225). This article has been updated with detailed instructions on how to submit your rating reports regardless of this error.

Our systems are currently experiencing an issue when sending out automated emails. This happens when trying to affiliate new players and/or sending out rating reports through SWAR (or other).

• Affiliating new players should pass regardless of this error, but there is no actual email sent out as confirmation
• Rating reports are generated on your local system, but also here no email is sent out. This means that your rating officer does not receive the report automatically. As an alternative solution, you can send the rating report by hand to ratings@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be (national ELO) or fide@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be (FIDE ELO).

SWAR reports – by default – are generated and saved in the local tournament folder on your computer system. They have the following name structure:

• National ELO: S_SWAR_xx_TournamentName.nnn
• FIDE ELO: S_FIDE_numFide_TournamentName.txt

By lack of automated email, you as the tournament organizer can send these reports manually to the respective mailing adress indicated above. In case of questions or issues, please reach out through ratings@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be and/or fide@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be.

Rating reports generated by our 24L tool are currently not processed. Tournament organizers are allowed to submit delayed reports as soon as the issue is resolved.
