During the Pentecost weekend of 2025, chess club SK Karpov Deinze is organizing a 4-day chess event in honor of their 50th anniversary.
A program was put together to offer something tailor-made to everyone who has a warm heart for chess.
On Friday 6 June, the four-day event will be festively opened with, among other things, a chess art exhibition “Art meets Chess 2.0”. This will be freely accessible throughout the entire event.
On Saturday 7 June, a rapid tournament will take place for every home, online & club chess player. The Belgian blitz championship is also on the program on that day.
On Sunday 8 June, attention will be paid to younger chess players with a youth tournament (based on strength & age). In addition, a chess simultaneous event with Daniel Dardha will also be organized.
As the icing on the cake, grandmaster and super talent Daniel Dardha will attack the world record for clock simultaneous on Pentecost Monday 9 June. The 19-year-old chess prodigy is Belgium’s greatest chess talent ever.
