FIDE registration form digitalised

In our ongoing efforts to automate and simplify the RBCF IT landscape, Jorian has digitalised the FIDE registration form. We ask all clubs to use this new registration form for the registration of their tournaments.

The FIDE registration form is a one-to-one mapping of the information that used to be filled in manually in the Excel file. But instead of downloading the Excel, filling it in and manually sending it through to fide@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be, this new way of working automated this process completely. Just fill in the form, submit and the resulting tournament file is generated automatically and send to fide@frbe-kbsb-ksb.be.

You as a user get a confirmation by email when submitting a new tournament registration. When the registration is handled by the RBCF team, you get another email stating the tournament ID needed for reporting. For reference, the full FIDE registration and reporting guidelines are available here. Please note that your registration is confirmed and valid only after you receive the confirmation email stating the required FIDE event ID.

Please delete any local copies of the FIDE registration form you still might have. We ask all clubs to use this new form going forward.
